Bordeaux River Cruise
Experience the Taste of Bordeaux
This enchanting river cruise, which starts and ends in Bordeaux, is the most quintessential French adventure you could dream up. You will journey along from vineyards to chateaus, cobblestone streets to grand castles, rolling hills to regal architecture, all while experiencing the rich flavors of French cuisine and delicious wine.
Day 1
You will embark from Bordeaux to set off on your romantic adventure, where you will be able to watch all of the amazing French scenery pass by from your balcony stateroom.
Day 2
The second day will greet you in the amazing wine region of Libourne! You will have a choice of several excursion options, such as a vineyard tour followed by a visit to the monoliothic church carved out of one piece of limestone rock! You will then be able to discover the catacombs and caves that lie under this unique church.
Day 3
Another day in Libourne provides a wonderful opportunity to explore the open-air market or getting wrapped up in the beauty of the town.
Day 4
Today would begin in Blaye, where you can tour the 17th century citadel or take a bike ride around the town. Then later in the day you can choose to bike through the French countryside to Bourg or visit the Carriage Museum in Bourg. This full day will finish with an exclusive wine festival surrounded by live music and dancing in this charming medieval village.
Day 5
Get ready for a day full of touring beautiful, famous wine estates. You will be able to choose to hike through the vineyards or drive along the coast while you soak in the beautiful scenery.
Day 6
What an exciting day as you visit castles, vineyards, and chateaus! Tasting golden-hued sweet wines that are produced in the Cadillac region and finish up by choosing if you would rather to explore more historic sites or experience a guided bike tour through the town of Cadillac.
Day 7
Bordeaux, the capital of the wine world, is waiting for you on your last full day of your French adventure! After experiencing a city tour, you will take in all the famed indoor Les Halles de Bacalan market. Then you will be able to choose from three different excursions: an informative, are-inspiring visit to the Bordeaux Wine Museum, a beautiful sound and light show at Les Bassins des Lumieres, or simply exploring the city of Bordeaux on your own!
Day 8
You will disembark from your romantic journey through the French wine country, ready to go back home after fully indulging in culture, food, and of course, wine!
